Robert Ilg has been a part of the Universal Laundries team since joining forces with his father, Paul Ilg in 1978. Bob has continued the tradition of outstanding customer service that his father started back in 1946. Bob has always approached the industry with the mentality that taking care of the residents and management teams is a priority, not an option. He prides himself in the relationships he’s established, beginning with a vast majority of the high-rise buildings on the lakefront downtown Chicago, and expanding his horizons with clients as far west as Schaumburg, Illinois, and everything in between.

Jim Gierach has been with Universal Laundries since 2000. As someone who knows the equipment first hand with his past experience working with the leading manufacturer of commercial laundry equipment, Jim was a great choice as part of the sales team. An active member of ABOMA, CIA-IL, and IREM, Jim makes sure to stay in tune with the needs of the management companies, to listen to their concerns, and the address the overall desires of the residents and managers.

Shanna Bahamon joined the Universal Laundries team in August of 2008. Shanna brought with her 5 years of office management experience and technology knowledge, helping to integrate more efficient and productive ways to assist in meeting and exceeding the needs of residents and managers. Shanna prides herself in the fact that she is friendly and compassionate, and it shows in her ability to meet the customers needs and help address and resolve the issue they are presenting. Being someone that can wear many hats is crucial as the Office Manager of Universal Laundries, and Shanna does this on a daily basis, far exceeding expectations and shining through as a natural born leader.

Jonathan Ilg has been with Universal Laundries part time since 2009, eager to learn all the inner workings of the Universal Laundries company from his father Bob. He has assisted the sales team in bringing in a new contact management system, something that will prove out as a viable tool for years to come.

Patrick Damian just celebrated his silver anniversary with Universal Laundries, a dedicated employee of over 25 years. As our Senior Service Technician, Pat is the go-to guy with any and all problems that are "out of the ordinary". Covering a majority of the Downtown area and western suburbs, Pat has knowledge of the equipment that is second to none.

Paul Conley is also one of our senior members of the team, having been with the company for over 20 years. Paul has a vast knowledge of the greater Chicagoland area, and as our collections officer, he needs that! He is also our Inventory Manager, and reigns supreme in his ability to keep costs down. Paul integrated a new system for parts reconciliation, and has proven to be a leader.

Roger Fraser has been with Universal Laundries for over 7 years, bringing with him the knowledge and experience of running his own route for many years with his father, prior to his dad’s retirement. He is an experienced technician with vast knowledge of many different brands of machines.

Eric Fraser decided to follow in his father Roger’s footsteps, joining the Universal Laundries team full time in January of 2010. Although he may be the youngest of the bunch, he has been around commercial laundry equipment from a young age, and is a quick study.
